Published by Island Heritage, my work serves as the foundation for this immersive experience. I am thrilled to offer this program to premium resorts, schools, and educational centers. Designed for ages pre-K through 3rd grade, this program bridges the gap between literacy and environmental action.

What the Program Includes:

• Interactive Author Reading: A high-energy reading of A Mermaid's Message that encourages keiki participation.​

• Protecting the ʻAina: From Waste to Wonder We go beyond the "why" of beach clean-ups to explore the "how" of environmental innovation. Keiki will discover the lifecycle of materials and see how plastics collected from our shores can be transformed through local upcycling. With hands-on samples, we demonstrate how marine debris is reimagined into durable, creative, and functional new uses.

• Island Origins & Natural History: We journey back millions of years to explore how the islands were formed and their arrival in the Pacific. Through fun and fascinating facts, keiki will discover Hawai'i's wildlife and learn the importance of respecting the delicate balance of our natural world-including critical awareness of the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle (CRB)

• Local Culture & Food: Group discussion of what food can be found or can be grown on the islands, along with sensory exploration of in-season produce.

• Gift from the Mermaid Treasure Chest: Each child will have the opportunity to pick out a real crystal from the treasure chest as their promise to always take care of nature and all life.
